Pastoral Care & Prayer
Pastoral Care
We believe that Jesus desires for us to love each other and to show this love in practical ways. The Pastoral care team aims to provide help and support for people with personal needs and problems. We desire to demonstrate the love of Jesus to people in our community.
We aim to support people in a variety of ways. This can include practical support such as doing their shopping, taking them for a hospital appointment, arranging meals to be delivered for a short period and/or sorting out a specific problem such as a phone not working. Emotional support may include being with someone and giving them time. We believe that prayer support is the basis of whatever help is provided.
Anyone can access this support. Just use the ‘Contact Us’ form below or call the Church Office and leave a message. The message can be brief and just ask for Pam, the pastoral care elder, or a member of the team to contact you.
The pastoral care team is small and we would very much welcome new people to join us and work with us to reach out to others with the love of Jesus.
Prayer
We believe in a loving God who cares deeply for each one of us. We believe in supporting each other with practical help but we also believe that our God can, and will answer when we come to Him in prayer.
We offer regular opportunities for praying together including one-to-one prayer after every service. If you would like someone to pray with you, please go to the front at the end of the service where a member of the prayer group will welcome you. All requests for prayer are treated confidentially.
